Little Healers: Chakras
Why I Wrote a Chakra Book for My Own Children (and Maybe for Yours Too)
When I became a mother, my work changed.
Not because I stopped believing in energy, healing, or the nervous system, but because I began asking a deeper question:
How do I teach this in a way that makes sense to my children?
I’ve spent years guiding women through grounding practices, chakra work, yoga, Reiki, affirmations, and energy healing. But when it came to explaining chakras to little ones, I realized something surprising…
There aren’t many books that speak about chakras in a simple, gentle, child-centered way.
So I wrote one.
What Little Healers: Chakras Teaches
In Little Healers: Chakras Book, I introduce children to the idea that:
“Chakras are beautiful wheels of energy in your body.”
And that:
“You have seven chakras or energy centers.”
But instead of complicated language or spiritual jargon, each chakra is presented in a way a child can actually feel and understand.
For example:
Root chakra — red — “It keeps you safe and grounded. Say, ‘I am grounded.’”
Sacral chakra — orange — “It gives you creative energy. Say, ‘I am creative.’”
Solar plexus chakra — yellow — “It helps you stay confident. Say, ‘I am confident.’”
Heart chakra — green — “It is your center of love and compassion. Say, ‘I love myself.’”
Throat chakra — blue — “It helps you communicate. Say, ‘I speak clearly.’”
Third eye chakra — indigo — “It gives you intuition. Say, ‘I trust myself.’”
Crown chakra — purple — “It is your connection to other people and to the world. Say, ‘I am connected.’”
And at the end, the reminder I whisper to my own children:
“Help keep your chakras balanced by repeating each affirmation. Be well, Little Healer!”
Why I Wrote It
I didn’t write this book to create something trendy.
I wrote it because I wanted my children to grow up with a language for their inner world.
I wanted them to know:
It’s okay to feel big feelings.
They can ground themselves.
Their creativity is sacred.
Their voice matters.
They can trust their intuition.
They are connected to something bigger than themselves.
Most children’s books focus on behavior or achievement. Very few focus on energy, embodiment, and self-trust in a developmentally appropriate way.
So I created the book I couldn’t find.
A bedtime ritual.
A conversation starter.
A way to gently introduce nervous system awareness and emotional regulation — without calling it that.
Chakras for Kids: Why It Matters
Children are intuitive. They feel everything.
When we give them simple affirmations like:
“I am grounded.”
“I love myself.”
“I speak clearly.”
We are wiring safety and self-worth into their bodies.
This isn’t about raising “perfect” children.
It’s about raising children who know how to return to themselves.
Who understands that balance isn’t something you achieve once, it’s something you practice.
A Reflection of My Real Life
This book mirrors what I actually say to my little healers.
We talk about colors.
We talk about feelings.
We talk about listening to our bodies.
Sometimes we place our hands on our hearts.
Sometimes we just breathe.
And sometimes, we simply whisper:
“You are a Little Healer.”
If you’re a parent who wants to introduce chakras to your child in a grounded, loving, simple way, this book was written for you.
But truthfully?
It was written for my kids.
And from that place, it became something bigger.
Be well, Little Healer. 💜
