Tapping Into Your Intuition (Without Making It Complicated)

There was a time I thought intuition had to be dramatic.

A loud voice.
A lightning bolt.
A crystal-clear download from the universe.

But the truth?

Most of the time, intuition is quiet.

It’s the subtle pause before you say yes.
It’s the soft no in your chest that you try to ignore.
It’s the exhale that tells you, this feels right.

We often miss it because we’re waiting for something louder.

Intuition Isn’t Rare — It’s Just Subtle

You don’t need to be psychic.
You don’t need to meditate for hours.
You don’t need to be “advanced.”

Your intuition is already woven into your nervous system.

It speaks through:

  • Your breath

  • Your body

  • Your tension

  • Your energy

  • Your sudden clarity

  • Your hesitation

The only real practice is slowing down enough to notice it.

And I know. Slowing down isn’t always easy.

How I Gently Tune Into Mine

This isn’t complicated. It’s simple and consistent.

In the morning, before I check my phone, I ask:

How do I actually feel today?

When I’m making a decision, I pause and notice:

Does this expand me or contract me?

If I feel scattered, I place one hand on my chest and one on my belly, then take three steady breaths.

That’s it.

Intuition doesn’t need ceremony.
It needs space.

The Difference Between Intuition and Fear

This is where most people get tangled.

Fear feels urgent.
It feels loud.
It feels tight.

Intuition feels steady.
Even when it’s asking you to do something brave.

Fear says: “Hurry.”
Intuition says: “Listen.”

Fear spirals.
Intuition lands.

If you’re unsure, give it time.
Real intuition doesn’t panic when you pause.

Rebuilding Trust With Yourself

Many of us stopped trusting our intuition somewhere along the way.

We were told we were “too sensitive.”
Too emotional.
Too dramatic.
Too much.

So we started outsourcing our decisions.
Asking everyone else what they think.
Waiting for permission.

But intuition grows stronger every time you listen to it in small ways.

Choose the meal you actually want.
Rest when your body asks.
Say no when something feels off.
Say yes when something feels aligned.

Tiny moments.
Big shifts.

A Simple Practice for Today

Try this:

Tonight, sit quietly for five minutes.

No phone.
No music.
No guidance.
No agenda.

Place your hands on your body.
Take slow breaths.

And ask:

What do I need right now?

Don’t force an answer.
Notice what arises.

That’s where it begins.

You are not disconnected from your intuition.
You may just be busy.

And the beautiful thing?

It has been patiently waiting for you to return.

If you need guidance, meet me on the path.

Be Well,

Becky
